In Our Blessed And Mostly Peaceful Society We're Not As Familiar With Courage As We Once Were. We Ascribe The Virtue To All Manner Of Endeavors That Only Really Require Skill, Fortitude And A Little Daring, The Qualities Pat Tillman Showed On The Football Field. Pat's Best Service To His Country Was To Remind Us All What Courage Really Looks Like, And That The Purpose Of All Good Courage Is Love.

But I Also Want To Change The Dynamics Of This Debate, Which Has Kept Us Gridlocked Into Positions Which Caused People To Shoot At Abortion Clinics And Other Americans To View It As The Only Issue In American Politics, ... There Are Areas We Can Agree On. ... We Need To Work Together To Eliminate Abortion.

Does It Make All The Difference In The World? No. But There's A Great Deal Of Symbolism Associated With Whether We're Going To Add $24 Billion To The Debt In Unwanted And Unnecessary Pork-barrel Projects.
