When Auditioning, I Try To Imagine That I'm The Only Person That They [directors] Are Seeing That Day Because It Can Be Overwhelming, In The Same Sense That It Could Be Overwhelming If You Try To Fulfil Everyone's Expectations Rather Than The People Closest To You In The Creative Process, Be It Your Director, Or Fellow Actors And The Writers. So, That's Kind Of It - I Try To Trick Myself Into Believing That No One Has Ever Gone There Before.

I Was Very Nervous About Doing The Entertainment Weekly Cover, Because I Thought, "okay, This Is The First Taste, This Is The First Visual Moment." By Then I Obviously Knew A Lot Of The More Iconic Moments In His Comic History, But Still It's Me. It's Not A Drawing, It's Not An Artist; It's Me And I'm Kinda Frightened, But It Seemed To Go Down.

Only When Stephen Strange Has His Accident And Everything That He's Ever Had In His Life Falls Apart That He Becomes Pretty Monstrous. It's The Self-loathing Rage Of A Wounded Animal And He Doesn't Have A Coping Mechanism At All. It Ties In With The Discipline And The Magic Of This World.
