When God Gets Us Alone Through Suffering,

We Can Never Be Like Lillies In The Garden Unless We Have Spent Time As Bulbs In The Dark, Totally Ignored.

Watch Human Nature; We Are So Built That If We Do Not Get Thrilled In The Right Way, We Will Get Thrilled In The Wrong. If We Are Without The Thrill Of Communion With God, We Will Try To Get Thrilled By The Devil, Or By Some Concoction Of Human Ingenuity.

Our Lord’s Making Of A Disciple Is Supernatural. He Does Not Build On Any Natural Capacity Of Ours At All. God Does Not Ask Us To Do The Things That Are Naturally Easy For Us- He Only Asks Us To Do The Things That We Are Perfectly Fit To Do Through His Grace, And That Is Where The Cross We Must Bear Will Always Come.

We Lean To Our Own Understanding, Or We Bank On Service And Do Away With Prayer, And Consequently By Succeeding In The External We Fail In The Eternal, Because In The Eternal We Succeed Only By Prevailing Prayer.

The Spirit Of God Has The Habit Of Taking The Words Of Jesus Out Of Their Scriptural Setting And Putting Them Into The Setting Of Our Personal Lives.
