It Is... Very Helpful To Think Of Adversity Not So Much As A Threat To Our Peace Of Mind But Rather As The Very Means By Which Patience Is Attained.

As Soon As I Wake Up I Pay Homage To The Buddha, And I Try To Prepare My Mind To Be More Altruistic, More Compassionate, During The Day To Come So I Can Be Of Benefit To Beings. Then I Do Physical Exersice - I Walk On A Treadmill.

When We Are Angry We Are Blind To Reality. Anger May Bring Us A Temporary Burst Of Energy, But That Energy Is Blind And It Blocks The Part Of Our Brain That Distinguishes Right From Wrong. To Deal With Our Problems, We Need To Be Practical And Realistic. If We Are To Be Realistic, We Need To Use Our Human Intelligence Properly, Which Means We Need A Calm Mind.

It Is Not Just A Person's Physical Constitution, Their Intellegence, Their Education, Or Even Their Social Conditioning That Enables Them To Withstand Hardship. Much More Significant Is Their Inner Development. And While Some May Be Able To Survive Through Sheer Willpower, The Ones Who Suffer The Least Are Those Who Have A High Degree Of Patience And Courage In The Face Of Adversity.

Love And Kindness Are The Very Basis Of Society. If We Lose These Feelings, Society Will Face Tremendous Difficulties; The Survival Of Humanity Will Be Endangered.
