We Have Been Given A Miraculous Faculty: Despite The Differences Of Language, Customs And Social Structure We Are Able To Communicate Life Experience From One Whole Nation To Another, To Communicate A Difficult National Experience Many Decades Long Which The Second Of The Two Has Never Experienced.

Patriotism Means Unqualified And Unwavering Love For The Nation, Which Implies Not Uncritical Eagerness To Serve, Not Support For Unjust Claims, But Frank Assessment Of Its Vices And Sins, And Penitence For Them.

Unlimited Power In The Hands Of Limited People Always Leads To Cruelty.

If Only It Were All So Simple! If Only There Were Evil People Somewhere Insidiously Committing Evil Deeds, And It Were Necessary Only To Separate Them From The Rest Of Us And Destroy Them. But The Line Dividing Good And Evil Cuts Through The Heart Of Every Human Being. And Who Is Willing To Destroy A Piece Of His Own Heart?
