The Reality Is That We Have One Of Lowest Voter Turnouts Of Any Major Country On Earth Because So Many People Have Given Up On The Political Process. The Reality Is That There Has Been Trillions Of Dollars Of Wealth Going From The Middle Class In The Last 30 Years To The Top 1/10th Of 1 Percent.

When I Was In The House For 16 Years, I Caucused With The Democrats.

At A Time When The Post Office Is Losing Substantial Revenue From The Instantaneous Flow Of Information By Email And On The Internet, Slowing Mail Service Is A Recipe For Disaster.

I Think Katrina Is One More Indication Of How Inefficient And Corrupt This Administration Is, And Indicates The Absolute Lack Of Seriousness That [george W.] Bush Has In Making The Government Respond To The Needs Of The People. They Are So Separated From The Lives Of Normal, Low-income People That It Never Occurred To Them That If You're Poor And Have No Money, No Car, That You Can't Leave.

I Did A Lot Of Reading. I Read About Democratic Socialism. And I Read About The Efforts Of People For Such A Long Time Trying To Create A Society In Which All People Can Live With Dignity. And That's Kind Of What I Believe.
