Let Historians Not Record That When America Was The Most Powerful Nation In The World We Passed On The Other Side Of The Road And Allowed The Last Hopes For Peace And Freedom Of Millions Of People To Be Suffocated By The Forces Of Totalitarianism. And So Tonightto You, The Great Silent Majority Of My Fellow Americansi Ask For Your Support.

Let Us Build Bridges, My Friends, Build Bridges To Human Dignity Across That Gulf That Separates Black America From White America.

You Must Never Give Up. You Must Remember That You Have To Take Risks In Order To Achieve Anything And Sometimes You Will Suffer Defeat. But The Mark Of Any Individual Is To Recover From Defeat And Disappointment And Go On And Give It His Best Shot.

I See The Face Of A Child. He Lives In A Great City. He Is Black. Or He Is White. He Is Mexican, Italian, Polish. None Of That Matters. What Matters, He's An American Child.
