Material Development Certainly Contributes To Happiness - To Some Extent - And A Comfortable Way Of Life. But This Is Not Sufficient. To Achieve A Deeper Level Of Happiness We Cannot Neglect Our Inner Development.

If The Basic Human Nature Was Aggressive, We Would Have Been Born With Animal Claws & Huge Teeth -- But Ours Are Very Short, Very Pretty, Very Weak! That Means We Are Not Well Equipped To Be Aggressive Beings. Even The Size Of Our Mouth Is Very Small. So I Think The Basic Nature Of Human Beings Should Be Gentle.

Whether Or Not We Follow Any Particular Spiritual Tradition, The Benefits Of Love And Kindness Are Obvious To Anyone.

Meditation May Also Be Thought Of As A Technique By Which We Diminish The Force Of Old Thought Habits And Develop New Ones.
