I Think Soft Power Definitely Can Work. But, You Know, It Depends On Who You're Dealing With. Some People Are So Intent Upon Power And Keeping Power That It's Very Difficult To Conduct Soft Power.

And There Is Distrust In Washington. I Am Surprised, Frankly, At The Amount Of Distrust That Exists In This Town. And I'm Sorry It's The Case, And I'll Work Hard To Try To Elevate It.

I've Thought A Lot About What It Means To Be The President. I Also Understand An Administration Is Not One Person But An Administration Is Dedicated Citizens Who Are Called By The President To Serve The Country, To Serve A Cause Greater Than Self. And So I've Thought About An Administration Of People Who Represent All America, But People Who Understand My Compassionate And Conservative Philosophy.

I Believe That Democracy Will Prevail, So Long As The United States Stays With These Young Democracies To Help Them.
