The Laws Of Science Do Not Distinguish Between The Past And The Future.

I Want To Know Why The Universe Exists, Why There Is Something Greater Than Nothing.

I Believe Everyone Should Have A Broad Picture Of How The Universe Operates And Our Place In It. It Is A Basic Human Desire. And It Also Puts Our Worries In Perspective.

But A Machine That Was Powerful Enough To Accelerate Particles To The Grand Unification Energy Would Have To Be As Big As The Solar System - And Would Be Unlikely To Be Funded In The Present Economic Climate.

So When People Ask Me If I Believe God Created The Universe, I Tell Them That The Question Itself Makes No Sense. Time Didn't Exist Before The Big Bang, So There Is No Time For God To Make The Universe In. It's Like Asking For Directions To The Edge Of The Earth; The Earth Is A Sphere, It Doesn't Have An Edge, So Looking For It Is A Futile Exercise.
