Provided That God Be Glorified, We Must

Have Patience With All Things, But Chiefly Have Patience With Yourself. Do Not Lose Courage In Considering Your Own Imperfections But Instantly Set About Remedying Them -- Every Day Begin The Task Anew.

In No Other Action Can Our Savior Be Considered More Tender Or More Loving Than In This, In Which He, As It Were, Annihilates Himself And Reduces Himself To Food, That He May Penetrate Our Souls And Unite Himself To The Hearts Of His Faithful.

The Declared Enemies Of God And His Church, Heretics And Schismatics, Must Be Criticized As Much As Possible, As Long As Truth Is Not Denied. It Is A Work Of Charity To Shout: 'here Is The Wolf!' When It Enters The Flock Or Anywhere Else.

Since God Often Sends Us Inspirations By Means Of His Angels, We Should Frequently Return Our Aspirations To Him By Means Of The Same Messengers.

Many Great Persons Have Been Of Opinion That Love Is No Other Thing Than Complacency Itself, In Which They Have Had Much Appearance Of Reason. For Not Only Does The Movement Of Love Take Its Origin From The Complacency Which The Heart Feels At The First Approach Of Good, And Find Its End In A Second Complacency Which Returns To The Heart By Union With The Thing Beloved--but Further, It Depends For Its Preservation On This Complacency, And Can Only Subsist Through It As Through Its Mother And Nurse; So That As Soon As The Complacency Ceases, Love Ceases.
