History Does Not Long Entrust The Care Of Freedom To The Weak Or The Timid.

One Of The Things That I Noticed In War Was How Difficult It Was For Our Soldiers, At First, To Realize That There Are No Rules To War. Our Men Were Raised In Sports, Where A Referee Runs A Football Game, Or An Umpire A Baseball Game, And So Forth.

The Winning Of War - The Effectiveness In Such Things - Is In The Heart, In The Determination, In The Faith. It Is In Our Beliefs In Our Country, In Our God, Everything That Goes To Make Up America.

The Clearest Way To Show What The Rule Of Law Means To Us In Everyday Life Is To Recall What Has Happened When There Is No Rule Of Law.

It Is Probably A Pity That Every Citizen Of Each State Cannot Visit All The Others, To See The Differences, To Learn What We Have In Common, And Come Back With A Richer, Fuller Understanding Of America - In All Its Beauty, In All Its Dignity, In All Its Strength, In Support Of Moral Principles.
