Nothing In Our Lives Is A Mere

If We Pray Only Because We Want Answers, We Will Become Irritated And Angry With God. We Receive An Answer Every Time We Pray, But It Does Not Always Come In The Way We Expect, And Our Spiritual Irritation Shows Our Refusal To Identify Ourselves Truly With Our Lord In Prayer. We Are Not Here To Prove That God Answers Prayer, But To Be Living Trophies Of God’s Grace.

God Is Not Concerned About Our Plans; He Doesn’t Ask, “do You Want To Go Through This Loss Of A Loved One, This Difficulty, Or This Defeat?” No, He Allows These Things For His Own Purpose. The Things We Are Going Through Are Either Making Us Sweeter, Better, And Nobler Men And Women, Or They Are Making Us More Critical And Fault-finding, And More Insistent On Our Own Way. The Things That Happen Either Make Us Evil, Or They Make Us More Saintly, Depending Entirely On Our Relationship With God And Its Level Of Intimacy.

Be Persistent With Your Disturbance Until You Get Face To Face With The Lord Himself. Don't Deify Common Sense.

There Is Only One Being Who Can Satisfy The Last Aching Abyss Of The Human Heart, And That Is The Lord Jesus Christ.

We Look For Visions Of Heaven And We Never Dream That All The Time God Is In The Commonplace Things And People Around Us.
