He Hath Given Me Rest By His

All That The Father Giveth Me Shall Come... Here, Therefore, The Lord Jesus Positively Determineth To Put Forth Such A Sufficiency Of All Grace As Shall Effectually Perform This Promise. They Shall Come; That Is, He Will Cause Them To Come, By Infusing Of An Effectual Blessing Into All The Means That Shall Be Used To That End.

Therefore If Mine Enemy Hunger, Let Me Feed Him; If He Thirst, Let Me Give Him Drink. Now In Order To Do This, (1) We Must See Good In That, In Which Other Men Can See None. (2) We Must Pass By Those Injuries That Other Men Would Revenge. (3) We Must Show We Have Grace, And That We Are Made To Bear What Other Men Are Not Acquainted With. (4) Many Of Our Graces Are Kept Alive, By Those Very Things That Are The Death Of Other Men's Souls.... The Devil, (they Say) Is Good When He Is Pleased; But Christ And His Saints, When Displeased.

For To Speak The Truth, There Are But Few That Care Thus To Spend Their Time, But Choose Rather To Be Speaking Of Things To No Profit.

Who Would True Valour See, Let Him Come Hither; One Here Will Constant Be, Come Wind, Come Weather There’s No Discouragement Shall Make Him Once Relent His First Avowed Intent To Be A Pilgrim.
