God Deceiveth Thee Not.

What Most Of All Hinders Heavenly Consolation Is That You Are Too Slow In Turning Yourself To Prayer.

A Pure, Sincere, And Stable Spirit Is Not Distracted Though It Be Employed In Many Works; For That It Works All To The Honor Of God, And Inwardly Being Still And Quiet, Seeks Not Itself In Any Thing It Doth.

God Is Able To Do More Than Man Can Understand.

The More The Flesh Is Wasted By Affliction, So Much More Is The Spirit Strengthened By Inward Grace.

We Would Willingly Have Others Perfect, And Yet We Amend Not Our Own Faults. We Would Have Others Severely Corrected And Will Not Be Corrected Ourselves. The Large Liberty Of Others Displeases Us, And Yet We Will Not Have Our Own Desires Denied Us. We Will Have Others Kept Under By Strict Laws, But In No Sort Will Ourselves Be Restrained. And Thus It Appears How Seldom We Weigh Our Neighbor In The Same Balance With Ourselves.
